At a shareholders meeting of the Pierer Mobility group (owner of KTM, Husqvarna and Gas Gas), this sketch of the Husqvarna E-Pilen, a new electric naked, was released.
The influential motorcycle group based in Mattighofen wants to command the electric motorcycle category. For several years it has been testing versions of some of its motorcycles powered by electric motors.
Recall that KTM has had the Freeride E-XC in its catalogue for some time, powered by an electric motor.
A couple of years ago, we already saw spy photos of a Duke, powered by an electric motor and gear change, in the testing period.
The Husqvarna E-Pilen bears an apparent similarity to the well-known Vitplilen. It maintains a multitubular chassis, tilting with ribs and mono-shock, in this case, placed on the right side.
The batteries must be modular, and the transmission is by the chain, with a motor that will have two powers, 4 kW and 10 kW.
These bikes will be produced by Husqvarna-KTM's partner in India, Bajaj, in early 2022.
Before and already in the next year, an electric Husqvarna scooter will arrive, with a 4 kW motor.
