81' Kawasaki KZ440 Scrambler Build

Well Curated Selection of Motorcycle Parts

The KZ440 Scrambler Build

The Speedo

The old bulky speedo has been removed!  We have installed a very basic and clean looking speedometer that goes well with the new Renthal dirtbike handlebars that have been installed. You can choose to leave the foam on the handlebars or completely remove it. Personally, we like the foam look!

All these cables and electrical components are hidden by the manufacturer inside the headlamp. These cables will be replaced by the MotoGadget relay that will hook into the M Unit Blue.

Front Electrical mayhem

These are going to make the build a lot cleaner. The bottom unit will replace and digitize the signal from the relay. These cables will then hook into our M unit Blue. On top, those three buttons will replace all the controls on the handlebar.  This will clean up the handlebar look.

How low can you go?

We were able to lower the front of the motorcycle about two inches by sliding the shocks up.

Manufacturers in the 80 used to put more wires than the bike could possibly need. With the help of our friends at Motogadget, well be able to clean up and improve the electrical system.

Z' Brains

Having installed the Motogadger M Unit Blue on this scrambler build has allowed us to clean up the wire harness thus leaving only the necessary wiring and modernizing this build.

Lithium batteries allow us to reduce the weight and size of the battery again, allowing us to completely modernize and clean the build.

Cant have a scramble built without the knobby tyres. The will give the look and performance on and off road.
